Taking the memory plunge / Zambullirse en recuerdos

North Hollywood, Subway Station, Los Angeles (October 2014) (English text follows below) .

As we descend the stairs of this subway station in L.A. -or any other one, for that matter- we leave a world behind and enter a new one. This is an underground world, subversive and yet more interesting, all based on entirely new rules. A world with unpredictable characters, high speed and inverted values, where day turns into night, memories are exacerbated, emotions are exaggerated.  Descending the subway stairs is like taking a plunge in a sea of memories and initiating some sort of time travel. Be calm, do not worry or be concerned for me: I have not smoked weed. Nor have I lost my marbles, even if my wife thinks otherwise, ha! *
