Pablo, the Economist / Pablo, el Economista

the Venezuelan economist

In an office building, Av. Libertador, Caracas, Venezuela (1975)

Here is Pablo José in one of his multiple life-roles: the Economist role.  During the course of a lifetime, a man or a woman assumes several different roles and embodies different personas. Yet, I have still to know a man more versatile than my own dad in this regard. Deep into his economist role, dad explained to me, in several occasions, the “Law of Supply and Demand”. I would listen every time, yes, but back then those concepts passed over my teenager head. With the years, I finally realized that economic sciences have a profound impact on the daily lives of each and everyone. I am sure that my dad and I would now have had an entertaining time discussing these things, as he was known to posses incredible conversationalist skills. Too bad he left us way, way too soon *
