A time for nature / Un momento para la naturaleza

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born, and a time to die. A time for city life and a time to enjoy nature.

Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, USA (July 2012)

(English version follows below).

As the good city dweller that I am, I have avoided nature and camping adventures. Those of my friends who do like camping (and there are many), have gained my profound admiration. The idea of sleeping where bears sleep, drinking the same water used by ducks, subjecting myself to the elements, implacable sun, unpredictable rain, lightning strikes, etc.. is not especially appealing to me. And yet, I do enjoy my regular, long hikes in the middle of woods and mountains.  There is a time for city life and there is, certainly a time for nature. The picture above was taken by a random, anonymous hiker in the Rocky mountains. You may agree with me in that her photo composition is really outstanding *
